Dai Yi
ormerly known as Dai Bingheng, was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. He is a professor of the Qing History Institute of Renmin University of China, director of the National Qing History Compilation Committee.
Dai Yi (1926- ), formerly known as Dai Bingheng, was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. He is a professor of the Qing History Institute of Renmin University of China, director of the National Qing History Compilation Committee. He used to be the convener of the History Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the fourth and fifth president of Association of Chinese Historians, the curator of Beijing Institute for Culture and History, and the researcher of China Central Institute for Culture and History. He has long been engaged in the study of the history of the Qing Dynasty, with many works to his credit, which included Manuscripts of Modern Chinese History, China-Russia Treaty of Nerchinsk in 1689, Treading the Frost, Abundant Dew, Talking About Ice, Trickles and the like. He was also the editor-in-chief of Concise History of the Qing Dynasty, China and the World in the 18th Century, New History Series, and etc.. He won the second Wu Yuzhang Lifetime Achievement Award in Humanities and social sciences in 2013.
