Chi Zijian, female, was born in Mohe in 1964. She began to write in 1983 and has published more than 5 million words of literary works, most of which are novels, including Morning Bell Rings Through Dusk, Right Bank of the Ergun River, novel collection Fairy Tales of Arctic Village, Travel Towards White Night, prose essay collections Beauty of Sadness, Listen to Time Dancing, It Snows in My World, four volumes of Chi Zijian's Works. She won many literary awards, such as the second and fourth Lu Xun Literature Awards, the seventh Mao Dun Literature Prize, and so on. Some of her works were translated into English, French, Japanese and Italian.
