From April 26 to May 2, the 27th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was held at the Abu Dhabi International Convention and Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates. The group’s editor-in-chief Li Qingxia led a delegation to participate in the exhibition.
The group exhibited more than 260 books, including Chinese culture, literature, art, education and children's books, etc., focusing on the Arabic version of " Chinese Culture Series", In the Name of the People and "Masters for the Masses Series". Among the books, Chinese cultural books such as "Intangible Cultural Heritage Series" and "Beijing Ancient Architecture Cultural Series" were appreciated by many local and overseas readers.
On the morning of April 26, Wu Shangzhi, deputy director of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, visited the group’s booth. Li Qingxia introduced the group's exhibited books and copyright trade to Wu Shangzhi. When listening to the report, director Wu praised: "the books you published are very good, and you have done a good job in the copyright trade."
A total of 640 publishers from 40 countries participated in this book fair. As China was the guest of honor of this year's book fair, more than 60 Chinese publishers brought more than 2,000 books to the exhibition. During the book fair, the group achieved fruitful results, signing a total of 40 copyright agreements for children’s books such as "Intangible Cultural Heritage Series", "Beijing Ancient Architecture Cultural Series", "Chinese National Fantasy Story Collection" and "Magic Science", and reaching 20 cooperation intentions for “Homesickness • China", "Masters for the Masses Series", "The Invisible World", "Play Science Together", In the Name of the People, Ordinary World and Life. A breakthrough was made in the export of copyrights for books of medicine. Preliminary copyright cooperation intentions were reached on Encyclopedia of Diabetes Cure at Home and Being a Happy Diabetes Patient and the results of copyright negotiations would be implemented later.
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Cultural Administration once a year. It is the largest and most representative book fair in the Middle East, serving as a good platform for cultural exchanges and cooperation in the Arab region and the international publishing market.
