Recently, Beijing Publishing Group and Thai printing house Hongsamut jointly held an online ceremony initiating the translation and publication of the novel Safety Letters to Families（Thai version）. Always attaching importance to “going global”, Beijing Publishing Group has established sound cooperation with publishers in more than 50 countries and regions.

The novel is set in Thailand, depicting how some overseas Chinese merchants coming from the Chaozhou-Shantou area of China’s Guangdong Province, patriotic and attached to each other like brothers, strived for a better life in Southeast Asia. The book was among 2021 China Good Books Awards and recently won the Five-One Project (literally meaning "best works in five areas") award. After Beijing Publishing Group had recommended the book, Hongsamut agreed to publish the Thai version. Following Safety Letters to Families, the copyrights of two other novels, Northward and The Green City, were also signed to be exported to Thailand.
