On June 19, when the 30th Beijing International Book Fair was under way, Beijing Foreign Studies University and China Publishing & Media Journal released the “2024 Research Report on the Influences of Chinese Mainland Publishing Houses upon the Collection of Chinese-language Books in Overseas Libraries.” Of all the nine publishing houses under Beijing Publishing Group Co., Ltd. (BPG), except for Beijing Electronic Audio and Video Publishing House, which was not within the scope of appraisal, all the other eight were listed among “Top 100 Chinese mainland publishing houses having influences upon the collection of Chinese-language Books in overseas libraries”, including Beijing October Arts & Literature Publishing House, Wenjin Publishing House, Beijing Publishing House, Beijing Arts & Crafts Publishing House, Beijing Juvenile & Children’s Publishing House, Beijing Education Publishing House, Beijing Arts and Photography Publishing House, and Beijing People’s Publishing House. The above publishing houses are sequenced according to the numbers of book titles of each of them collected by overseas libraries.
