During this literature month, the October Literature Institute and Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House jointly established the first "Foreign Translator Residency Program" in China to promote the overseas translation and dissemination of "October" literary achievements, the "going global" of Beijing literature and international copyright cooperation. Zuzana Li (Li Su) and Denis Molcanov (Ai Li), two translators from the Czech Republic, were invited to the October Literature Institute to carry out residency experience activities.
During the residency, Li Su and Ai Li attended a number of activities such as the launch of the second "Beijing October Literature Month", the launching ceremony of the "October Sign-up Writers" program, the academic seminar "How to Translate Contemporary Chinese Literature", and "October Writer's Residence Forum: A New Path for Chinese Literature to Go Global". Around the in-depth cooperation and development of literary and cultural exchange projects, they conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with Chinese writers and scholars, and jointly made suggestions for building a bridge for Chinese literature to "go global".
The "Foreign Translator Residency Program" aims to promote and expand Chinese and foreign literary exchanges, so that foreign professionals can have a closer understanding of contemporary Chinese literature and promote excellent Chinese literary works around the world.
