On October 25, the first "October Writer's Residence Forum: A New Path for Chinese Literature to Go Global", sponsored by the October Literature Institute, was held in Yousheng Temple. Among the guests invited to the event were representatives of the partners to the "October Writer’s Residence" including Wu Yuchu, curator of the Tibet Yak Museum and the first writer into "October Writer's Residence”, Ang Jin, member of the Standing Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the Cuiping District CPC Committee of Yibin, Sichuan Province, Xu Hui, head of the International Cultural Exchange Association and Czech-China Cultural Exchange Association, Gao Liang, chairperson of China-Nepal Friendship Forum, famous writers Ma Yuan, Liu Qingbang, Su Tong, young writer Wen Zhen and other writers invited to "October Writers Residence", as well as British Sinologist and translator Di Xing, Czech Sinologists and translators Zuzana Li (Li Su) and Denis Molcanov (Ai Li).

Qu Zhong, general manager of Beijing Publishing Group and dean of the October Literature Institute, Lü Yue, deputy dean of the October Literature Institute, Han Jingqun, editor-in-chief of Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House, Chen Dongjie, editor-in-chief of October magazine, Ning Ken, executive editor-in-chief of October magazine discussed with the guests on the "new way for Chinese literature to reach the world" and how to spread the voice of China and tell Chinese stories in the countries and regions along the "Belt and Road". Representatives of all parties also had in-depth exchanges on the further development model and cooperation of "October Writer's Residence".
