On May 24, the group's "October" book counter held an unveiling ceremony at the China Tibet Bookstore in Kathmandu, Nepal. It displayed more than 300 high-quality books published by the group in recent years, covering world humanities and history, traditional Chinese culture, Beijing culture and arts as well as children's science, and etc., fully demonstrating the profound cultural heritage and strong publishing strength of the group. The ceremony also displayed the group's institutions under the "October" brand: the October Literature Institute, Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House, October Magazine Office, and October Youth Literature Magazine Office.
Zhao Lanzhen, deputy dean of the October Literature Institute, unveiled the book counter and delivered a speech on behalf of the group and the institute. He said that the establishment of the "October" book counter was to implement Beijing Publishing Group's "Belt and Road" strategy and was a good attempt to "go global" of the publishing industry. Through physical publicity campaign, it would not only spread the outstanding Chinese culture to the Nepalese people and display excellent Chinese literary works, but also play an important role in effectively promoting copyright trade.
Ge Vali, head of China Tibet Bookstore, welcomed the establishment of the "October" book counter by the group, and expressed his gratitude to the group and the October Literature Institute for the quality spiritual resources they have brought. He said that the cooperation between the two sides could allow more Nepalese people to understand China and enhance the friendship between the two peoples. He hoped that this mode of communication could continue.
