From May 2 to June 2, famous writer Ye Guangqin settled in "October Writer’ s Residence ‧ Prague" for a one-month living experience and writing life, she was the fifth writer to stay in Prague after Wu Yuchu, Ma Yuan, Han Shaogong and Yu Hua.

During the period of residence, Ye Guangqin participated in various cultural exchange activities held in Prague. Together with Chinese writers, she conducted in-depth discussions with local writers, poets, translators and publishers on the translation and publication of Chinese and Czech literary works. She also went to Goethe University in Germany to participate in sessions to share her creation experience.

Each year, the October Literature Institute arranges some writers who have the influence in the domestic literary circles to live and write in the "October Writer’ s Residence" to assist writers in completing copyright transactions, book exhibitions and other projects. By holding a series of literary exchange activities in the place of residence, the institute gathers high-end cultural resources, introduce and promote outstanding Chinese writers, export outstanding works, and introduce excellent literary and artistic achievements from related countries, thus making the place of residence a connection point and important base for Chinese literature and world literature.
